Check out the video of me teaching my girl's to cook. 😊
Today on my Homeschool Cooking Class the girls wanted Animal Cookies treats so I took to Pinterest for inspiration. So Rice Krispy Treats with Animal Cookies mixed in came up. I saw a couple of shakes on there that inspired the Animal Cookies Milkshakes.
What could be easier then dressing up Rice Krispy treats for dessert?! I already had a direction, Animal Cookies. So that's what we started adding first, other goodies just kept finding their way into the dish. We had some mini chocolate chips left over from other recipes and some sprinkles. I made some pink chocolate sauce. They came out awesome. I love homemade Rice Krispies. I don't know why I don't make them more often. I showed the girls how to make Rice Krispy's the traditional way, on the stove. But I saw the hack of heating up the marshmallows in the microwave. Paisley loves finding things she can just make in the microwave. She discovered she can cook eggs by herself without using the stove. Do they taste the same? I'd image, but have no desire to taste them.
Did you know you can get Animal Cookies on Amazon!

I was feeling a little too ambitious as usual, saw a couple milkshakes and the wheels in my head started spinning. I have a love hate relation with those wheels. On one hand, they have lead to my taste buds dancing. On the other, I don't always get it right the first time. This time it was minor and was able to fall back on a plan B. I had the brilliant idea of sticking the Animal Cookies inside the glass with the marshmallow cream. Would have been awesome if they had stayed. The cookies where too big compared to the curvature of the glass. So sticking the mini marshmallows inside the glass was an idea I saw floating around Pinterest. I only had white but the fruity ones would be like the spots on the Circus Animal Cookies.
