Hi, I'm Penne. I'm a wife and mom of three. When I almost died in 2021, I was determine to give my kids all the tools they needed in life, starting in the kitchen. I am an avid foodie and of course, married one. I love to cook and our whole family loves to eat, so I'm teaching my little foodies what I know. We hope that our story and videos inspire others to get their families in the kitchen and make memories.

For the viewers convivence, I share the recipes  we make in the videos on here. I'm not the author of most recipes, so I do give credit where credit is due, be sure to check out the author links.

May you have happy

taste buds and full bellies! 😘

You know the saying "practice makes perfect"? I'm gonna need a lot of practice on this one! We didn't do so hot. The breakfast roll, which I took the "s" off rolls because ours was more of a blob. Obviously I did something wrong because the dough never set up and was impossible to roll. We still ate it though. 🤣🤣 It wanted to be good. I mean it wasn't bad but it wasn't what it was supposed to be. The family still gobbled it up so I'll definitely take another stab at it. You would think I'd know what I was doing since we made the Sourdough Buttermilk Muffins and those turned out fabulous. And the dough set up right. Oh well try, try, try again. It needs sauce, ketchup or salsa. Something! On the blog Butter With a Side of Bread she say's "In cold weather, I like to turn my oven on for about 3 or 4 minutes, then turn it off and let my dough rest in the oven." We had the AC on so I put it outside but I'm thinking I may try this next time.

The fritters also fought me. I did everything right with the mixture but the corn kept breaking off while I was frying. I don't like frying. I just said this when we made the Chicken Fritters, I like eating fried food but I don't like the work involved in frying. It never turns out the way it's suppose too and then I'm just sad. We also should have chopped up the cilantro more. The fritters did taste good and I'd make them again if I could figure out another way to fry. I'm gonna get a deep fryer so I don't have to do it on the stove! However, I just saw an ad on Temu for this frying pan with 4 heart shaped molds built in and I'm buying one, maybe that will work. But for next time, a dollop of daisy and away we go.

It's good for the girls to see me struggle in the kitchen a little, I was just saying this when we did Chocolate Orange Ice Cream. They can see it's not always perfect the first time and even mom (who they think is just the bees knees at cooking) doesn't always get it right the first time. I like the quote from Thomas Edison "I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." I live by that motto. I tried to keep a cheerful attitude during filming even though I felt like screaming since nothing was cooperating with me.

Get You One!

Total side note and a good point for parents, Paisley scrambled eggs in the Instant Pot. No stove or fire but my 10 year old made eggs. Just put it on sauté and they're done in 5-8 minutes. Under ten for sure. Just make sure you spray the pot with cooking oil first. She regularly just microwaves them (don't ask) when no one can cook them on the stove for her so she was so stoked to find out she could just make them this way.
