I am an avid foodie and of course, married one. I love to cook and our whole family loves to eat, so I'm teaching my little foodies what I know. We hope that our story and videos inspire others to get their families in the kitchen and make memories.

The challenge is on! Paige is older so she gets to go first, she loves hot dogs, so that's what she's going with. Check out Paisley's choice for the challenge. I did some reading on Hawaiian food culture since both girls had picked Hawaiian meals. That's really how this whole thing got started. They had both, unknowingly, picked recipes that had Hawaiian flare so that just meant I had to do research. I'm trying to teach my girls, by example, not to be afraid of what they have never made or they aren't familiar with the culture. All I know about Hawaii is I've never been there and I want to go. 😂 I did more research with Paisley's meals because I was super unfamiliar and well, this is a hot dog and baked beans. Pretty simple but apparently Hawaiians love pineapple. 🤣 It's in everything!

Get You One!

Paige had given me a recipe for the hot dogs, but the salsa looked bland and I had seen this one and it looked much better. The hot dog itself was pretty simple really, but I did find this teriyaki mayo floatin around and that brought the whole thing together. My girls are quickly seeing that I will look online for what I want to make and don't always just take the first recipe I find or just do what I'm told. A lot of times I see numerous things are combined them and that's what happened here. I had seen a bunch of people talk about the hotdogs and well they aren't anything special. Combined with the teriyaki mayo and the pineapple salsa I found it turned out pretty stinkin good. During the video I talk about cutting my chives hair. 🤣 I just bought a plant of it since we use it all the time.

The baked beans were definitely more than your average canned Bush's. Diced up bell pepper, pineapple, Worcestershire sauce and molasses, my interest were prickled. They were really good, I'll be making them like this again. She has her own recipe for the bean and oh my, heavenly, Paige and I said it looks like BBQ sauce and would probably be good as such, if you like sweet.
