Hi, I'm Penne. I'm a wife and mom of three. When I almost died in 2021, I was determine to give my kids all the tools they needed in life, starting in the kitchen. I am an avid foodie and of course, married one. I love to cook and our whole family loves to eat, so I'm teaching my little foodies what I know. We hope that our story and videos inspire others to get their families in the kitchen and make memories.

For the viewers convivence, I share the recipes  we make in the videos on here. I'm not the author of most recipes, so I do give credit where credit is due, be sure to check out the author links.

Lobster Roll Pasta & Creamy Cucumber-Radish Salad - Kids Cooking

Check out the video of me teaching my girl's to cook.

What food were the kids cooking up this episode??? Paige is still smiling despite getting herself pretty good while making lobster roll pasta and creamy cucumber radish salad.

Well it happened, our first big boo boo while filming. It was bound to happen. Anyone that's been cooking a while has had mishaps. Paige's best friend, who's a year and half older than her, was making spaghetti for the family a couple years ago, she went to dump out the water and the pot spilled backwards. Scorch the tops of her legs. Had to have cadaver's skin placed on them to heal. We drove 2 states away, in a heart beat, too be there for her and her family. Fortunately, she's fine and still loves to cook. I can only begin telling stories of the things I've done while in the kitchen. Well, Paige was cutting radish on the mandilion with a little too much speed and caught the tip of her pinky and ring finger. I was standing right there and was able to doctor her. Got her into the bathroom and Dad came quick with the first aid kit.

She's a middle child, so we already have lots of experience. Her brother, who is 21 now, is big into skateboarding and well showing off. He is his mother's son. I got tired of paying for stiches, so by the time he was 5, I learned how to superglue him close. 🤣 When he was in ninth grade, he was at a school performance and I get a call "Um mom, he's fine but he's going to need stitches." I laughed and she was, of course, concerned. I didn't mean too, it's just it wasn't the first time I had gotten that call. I was, unfortunately, use to it. Paige has had her fair share of injuries too but mom is always right there to kiss the boo boos.

The food was ok. I wish I could have found real lobster. I LOVE LOBSTER. So I was

sad when the best I could find was imitation. I'd give it another try if I could find the real stuff. It had good flavor. One thing I like to used when cutting chives, is herb cutting scissors. The salad I knew was a long shot. Paige and I like radish, everyone else tolerates it. It calls for cottage cheese and I'm not one of those people that's a grab me a tub, throw some salt n pepper on it and eat like it ice cream, kinda people. But I don't hate it. It was honestly refreshing and different from your run of mill salad.

Like me and my husband, all our kids, bounce right back. We ride dirt bikes and you crash and burn in that sport. A lot. My Dad taught me when I was Paisley's age. You didn't fall down and lay there and cry. You got back up and did it again. You don't get that as much anymore. It's a softer generation. I'm not a fan. I have had one heck of a life and cried a lot, but I always got back up. I love that Brooks and Dunn's song "Cowgirls don't cry. So once we taped Paige up, she was laughing once again. Paisley gladly stepped in she we could finish dinner.
