Hi, I'm Penne. I'm a wife and mom of three. When I almost died in 2021, I was determine to give my kids all the tools they needed in life, starting in the kitchen. I am an avid foodie and of course, married one. I love to cook and our whole family loves to eat, so I'm teaching my little foodies what I know. We hope that our story and videos inspire others to get their families in the kitchen and make memories.

For the viewers convivence, I share the recipes  we make in the videos on here. I'm not the author of most recipes, so I do give credit where credit is due, be sure to check out the author links.

May you have happy

taste buds and full bellies! 😘

Pork Dumplings & Egg Roll in a Bowl - Kids Cooking

Check out the video of me teaching my girl's to cook.

😊 ↡↡↡ Video at the end of post. ↡↡↡

What food were the kids cooking up this episode??? Paige and I take a trip into the past tragedy that inspire all of this, over Pork Dumplings & Egg Roll in a Bowl.

These dumplings really opened us up. Paige and I found therapy during cooking. Although we mangled the dumplings they were still super good. I have to shop using Instacart because of my disabilities. The Instacart shopper couldn't find dumpling wrappers, so they brought won ton wrappers. That's what got the therapy session started. We both almost cried. I have always found healing in the kitchen and now I'm passing it on to my girls. I have had a lot happen in my life, I could have endless amounts of blog post if I wrote about all the things. I choose not to dwell on what can't be changed. The past. This time though, my kids were effected and I was left with disabilities.

If you haven't read my bio, I suggest reading it. I won't go into great deal here but in 2021 I had a massive stroke. I was put in a medically induced coma and spent almost 5 months in the hospital. It really effected Paige. She's a mama's girl. Not knowing if I was going to make it or how I would be if I got to come home was really hard on her. I'm a miracle. The doctors didn't expect me to live and told my husband if I did, I'd be severely disabled. Although I do have some disabilities I'm no where near sever. So since I'm still here, I'm going to teach my girls how to take care of themselves and to start off, cooking.

In the video thumbnail, I'm telling Paige how I couldn't feel that my arm was heating up because of the nerve damage on the left side. I can't tell if something is hot right away. Eventually I'll get tingling so I know somethings up but I don't feel heat. Cold yes. When it's cold I feel like someone slathered my left side in Icy Hot and threw me in a lake in the dead of winter. I get in the tub, left foot first, and I don't know it's scorching till I put my right foot in. Enough of the sappy stuff and back to the food. Paige and I did our best to make dumplings with won ton wrappers. I mean they are similar, just shaped different. Once we figure out how to close them, we were ok. I was pretty impressed.

I'm so glad I'm still here to pass my love of food on to my girls. We were at my mom's and she was happy to let us use her kitchen. We didn't know where anything was and didn't have any of our gadget and gizmos but grateful. My girls are so spoiled. They have so many cool tools that I didn't have when I first started out in the kitchen.
